Deposition of Witnesses taken at
London, that is to say, at the parish of Saint
Mary Abchurch in the ward of Candlewick in
London aforesaid on the 3d. day of July 1792
on view of the Body of William Blake< no role > now
here lying dead.

John Hucking< no role > Fishmonger and a Lodger at No. 1 Bell
Court Cannon street London maketh Oath that about ten
O Clock on Sunday Night last [..] the deceds
Wife who lodged in a two pair of Stairs Room in said House
came to (Dept. who lodges in the three pair of Stairs and asked
Dept. whereifher husband the deced was [..] Dept. sayed he believed
he was gone to Bed Dept. having seen him about seven O Clock
in his own Room when he appeared very ill and very Melancholy
Dept. went down to the deceds Room and knocked at the Door
but receiving no answer and on trying the Door and finding it
locked he returned up stair to the deceds Wife and asked
her if he should break the Door open but Dept. receiving no
answer from herDeptand thinking something might have
happened returned down Stairs to the deceds Room Door and
forced the same open on going in Dept. found the deced
hanging by a small piece of Cord fastened round attach
fixed in the Wainscott in a Corner of the Room Dept. immedy.
cryed out for a Knife which was brot. by Dept. Wife
Dept. immediately eat the deced down that a Mr. Jackson
who lodges in the same house having come up upon Dept.
giving the alarm was present when Dept. out the deced
downthat the deced fell warmDept. has observed
the deced for three of four day previous to Sunday appear
very dull and melancholy. that he was an aged Man had
a Wife and [..] Four Children.

Elizabeth King< no role > Widow who lodged [..] in the same
appartments with the deced maketh Oath that she hath known
the deced about seven Yearsthat she was present on Sunday
Night last when Mr. Hucking forced the deceds door open and
found him in [..] hate described by Mr. Hucking that
the deceds Mother died last Easter since which time the
deced has appeared very melancholy and dull that
on Thursday last the deced appeared much worse and
