An Inquisition Indented taken from Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say, at the
Parish of Saint Magnus the Martyr in the ward of Bridge in London aforesaid on the thirteenth day of December in the thirty first
year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender
of the faith or not so forth Before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and
Bon [..] of Southwark on view of the Body of John Brown< no role > now here lying dead by it: Oath of James Norton< no role > , Thomas Cartwright< no role >
William Pascall< no role > John Atkins< no role > , Joshua Lloyd< no role > , Thomas Woolland< no role > , Jonas Marey< no role > , Archibald Beard< no role > , Robert Sangster< no role > , Thomas
Watkinson Jacob Cope< no role > and Charles Lock Good and lawful Men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen
sworn and charged to Inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said John Brown< no role > came
to his death say upon their Oath that the said John Brown< no role > then lately before accidentally casually and by misfortune fell into
the River Thames and in and with the Waters of the said River was then lately before suffocated and drowned of which said
suffocation and Drowning he the said John Brow< no role > : did then lately before die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do
say that the said John Brown< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune was accidentally drowned In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as the said James Norton< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his
Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and Seals the day year and place first above written.
