within the Borough

maketh Oath that he had
known the deced about three weeks that he was a Mariner
belonging to the said Briz that on a Sunday afternoon the
deced event shore with [..] some others Bays belonging to some
Vessel lying near said Briz that between the hours of seven
and eight in the Evening of same day the deced returned on beard
said Vessel Dept. was then in Bed that the deced came down
into where Dept. slept that the deced got into Bed that
from his behaviour Dept. believes him to be intoxicated
with Liquor that about ten OClock the deced got out of
Bed Dept asked him where he was going the deced answered
he was going to case himself that the deced went up on the
Death and Dept. saw nothing more of the deced that Night
that [..] other Men slept in the same place with the Dept. and
deced that about seven OClock the next Morning, Monday the
in [..] on Dept. and the other two Men getting out of Bed missed
the deced that they went to the Place belonging to said Vessel
where they usually case themselves and from the place being
very nasty they concluded the deced had fallen over [..] into
the Water That on Wednesday Dept. heard a drowned Man was
picked up that Dept. has seen the deced that it is the same person

that the deced had his Carland Wa [..] also his Breeches
& a pair of Drawers that the deced Breeches & Drawers
were unbattoned that he did not observe any bruises on the
deced.
