Deposition of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say, at the Parish of Christ Church in
the Ward of Farringdon within in London
aforesaid the 18th. day of February 1790 on view
of the Body of Joseph Smith< no role > then and there
Lying Dead.

Thomas Brown< no role > a Prisoner in His Majesty's Gaol of Newgate
maketh Oath that he hath known the deced Joseph Smith< no role > about
six Year That he was also a Prisoner in the said Gaol that
he hath been in the sick Ward where Deponent attends about five
Months ill at First with a fever but getting the better of that
disorder he fell into a decline that he continued very ill
until Tuesday evening last when he departed this Life - That he
was attended by the Surgeon of the said Gaol and Deponent
Believes the decline to have occasioned his Death.
