Information of Witnesses taken at the Parish
of Saint John within the Town and Borough
of Southwark in the County of Surrey the
11th. day of April 1789 on view of the Body
of William Dever< no role > then and there lying
Dead

James Hellett< no role > of the Nine in Vine Yard in the Parish of
Saint John within the Borough of Southwark Victualler
maketh Oath and saith that he saw the deceased about
11 OClock Yesterday Morning in that Bone house of said Parish that his
name was William Devon< no role > -that about five or six Weeks
ago the deceased then belong'd to the Brig called the fruitful
Vine of Chichester in the County of Super Whereof
Thomas Stride< no role > in Master which Nepel sailed about 3
Weeks or ago for Hallifax in American that Deponent
Knows nothing about the death of the deceased

Edward Andrews< no role > a Lodger at the House of James Phillips< no role >
No. 4 Unicorn Yard in the Parish of Saint Olave in the
Borough of Southwark maketh Oath and saith that
Yesterday Morning between the hours of Nine and ten being
in [..] his Boat he saw the body of the deceased ruie
or float upon top of the Water opposite Horsley down
new Stairs in said parish of Saint John that Dept.
fastened a Rope to the deced and towed the Lady on shore
that the deceased nor taken to the bone house of said
Parish
