Information of Witnesses taken as the Parish of
Saint George in the Borough of Southwark
in the County of Surrey the 3rd. day of
February 1789 and View of the Body of
William Thornton< no role > then and there
lying dead

Moses Tubman< no role > a Prisoner in the House of
Correction situate in the parish of Saint George within
the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surrey
make the Oath and saith he Sixth known the deceased
William Thornton< no role > about five Weeks that he was also a
Prisioner in the said Goal that the deceased has been
in with a Complaints in his head about a Week that on Friday last
the deceased appeared to be worse-that on Saturday forenoon
the deceased appeared to get better-that in the Afternoon
the deceased went to Necessary and on his return he
appeared to be worse thta he took to his Bed on the
Saturday Night about nine OClock-that about two
OClockin the Nighton the Sunday Morning Dept.
heard something come from the deced as if the had cased
himself under him-that about ½ part size a person
who slept went the deceased discovered the deceased
was Dead-that he dont believe that the deceased
died from any violence from any person whatever
