Informations of Witnesses taken at the Parish of
Christ Church in the Ward of Farringdon
within in London aforesaid the 2nd. day of
February 1789 out view of the Body of John
Sterling then and there lying dead

William Wright< no role > a Prisoner in His Majesty's Gaol of
Newgate maketh Oath and saith that he hath known the
deceased John Sterling< no role > about twelve Months
that he was also a Prisoner in the said Gaol that he hath
been [..] in the Sick Ward where Dept attend for this
Month past very ill with a Fever that he continued
very ill until Friday Night when he departed
this Life that he was attended by the Surgeons of
the said Gaol and that he has no doubt but the
Fever was the Cause of his Death
