An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London to wit, at the
Parish of Saint Martin Orgarsin the ward of Bridgein London aforesaid on the
firstday of Octoberin the Twenty eighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so
forth Before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on
view of the Body of Alexander Jefferies< no role > nowhere lying dead by the Oath of
Samuel Randall< no role > John Costaker< no role > , Thomas Harsley, George Tylor< no role > , Robert Sangster< no role > , John Laver< no role > , John Kill, Josiah Harris< no role >
Charles Friquet< no role > , William Morris< no role > , William Wilkins< no role > and David Voss good and lawful Men of the city of London aforesaid who being
now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the king when how and in what manner the said Alexander
Jefferies came to his death say upon their Oath that the said Alexander Jefferies< no role > then lately before at the Parish and Ward aforesaid
in London aforesaid accidentally casually and by misfortune fall into the River Thames and in and with the Waters of
the said River was then and there suffocated and drowned Of which said suffocation and drowning he the said Alexander
Jefferies then and there died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Alexander Jefferies< no role >
in manner and form aforesaid accidentally casually and by misfortune was suffocated and drowned In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as she said Samuel Randall< no role > the foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest
of his fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and place first above
written.
