of Saint Autholin in the Ward of Cordwainer in London
aforesaid on the twenty first day of August in the twenty eighth year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third

aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire
for our said Lord the King when and in what manner the said

came to his death say upon their oath that the
said Thomas Fanner not being of sound mind memory and understanding but lunatic and distracted on the said twenty first day
of August in the twenty eighth year aforesaid at the parish and Ward aforesaid in London
aforesaid one and of a certain Line made of
Horse hair of no Value unto and about a certain wesden Rail belonging to the
[..] of certain Stairs of the Durling house of
him the said

there situate leading into the Cellar of the said Dwellinghouse and the other end thereof about his own
neck did then and there fix tye and fasten By means whereof he the said

did then and there hang suffocate
and strangle himself Of which said hanging suffocation and strangling he the said

did then and there instantly
did And is the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said

understanding but lunatic and distracted in manner and by the means aforesaid did hang and kill himself In Witness whereof as
well the said Coroner as the said

the foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in
this presence have to this Inquisition set these hands and seals the day year and place first above written
