To the Constable Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Peace [..] of Hamblet of Ratcliffe in the Parish of
St. Dunstan stepney in the said County of Middx and to the
Church wardens and Over seers of the Poor of the parish
of St. Dionis Backchurch in the City of London

Whereas it appeareth unto no Two of her Majties Justices of the
Peace for the said County of Middle (Quor did upon the Complaint
of the Churcharden and Over Seers of the Poor of the Hamblet
of Ratcliffe in the parish of St. Dunstan Stepney in the said
County of Middx that Anne Curd the wife of william Curd< no role >
is lately intruded into the said Hamblet endeavouring to
gaine a Settlement there without renting a house of Tenn
pounds of Aunsun or paying to the Poor or any other Parish
Taper or giving notice to the Officers of their said parish of
to any of them as by Law the ought, And whereas it also
appeareth unto no that by reason of the poverty of the said
Anne Curd< no role > Two having nothing wherewith to maintain her off
with innavoidably become agreat charge to the said Hamblet
of Ratcliffe if not speedily prevented ,And whereas it Further
appeareth into no upon the Examination of the said Anne
Curd upon Oath that about Twenty years agoe her said
Husband William Curd< no role > was bound an apprentice by indentures
for seven years to one William Holloway< no role > of Cullum Street
in the said Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch London Cooper
and dwelt with him as his Apprentice in the said Parish
During all the said terme of seven years and now upon
carefull examination we cannot find any legall settlement
that the said William Curd< no role > hath gained since Wee doo therefore
adjudge the said parish of St. Dionis Backchurch London to
be the place of last legall Settlement of the said William
Curd and that the said Anne Curd< no role > his wife ought tobe sent
Wither

These are therefore in her Majties name to command
you upon sight hereof to pass and convey the said Anne Curd< no role >
the wife of the said William Curd< no role > from the said [..] Hamblet of
Ratcliffe in the said parish of St. Dunstan Stepney to the
said Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch London and to deliver
the together with this precept to the Church wardens & Overseers
of the Poor there or to some or one of them who are hereby
required her to receive and provide as they doe for other such
Poor of them parish untill they shall be freed from them by
due course of Law, And this shall be ye. Warrant St Given under
our hands and seald this 12th. day of september Anne Dom 1711
