Hankey Knight & Alderman of Laugbourn Ward in which Words
the Parish of Saint Dionise. Backchurch is Situate: Do by Virtue
of the Statute made in the Forty. Third Year of the Reign of the late
Queen Elizabeth< no role > Enlitled an Act for the Relief of the Poor Honinate
Anthorise and Appoint Richard Tirrell James Spackman< no role > John
Clarke and John Watten Substantiall Householders within the said
Parish of St. Dionise Backchurch or any Two or Three of them
together with James Fell< no role > and John Chffen Church Wardens of
the Parish aforesaid to be and becalled Overseers of the Poor, of the
said Parish to do Perform and Excute all Matters and Things
whatsoever according to the Purport and true meaning of the
said Statute from the Feast of Easter last past to the Feast of
Easter now next coming Given under our Hand & Scales the
22d Day of May 1742 and in the Fifteenth Year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Brittain Hair France Etc
