It is Ordered that he should be Exempted from serving the
said Offices on paying the said Fine.

Mr. Jas: Benezett< no role > chose.
Constable Scavenger and
Inquestman


Exempted on paying £12.

Then Mr. James Benezett< no role > was put in Nomination to serve the
said Offices for the Year ensuing in the Room of Mr. Bosanquet
& chose. But it was also moved in his Behalf that he should be
Exempted from serving the said Offices on paying the usual
Fine of twelve Pounds. And the Question being putt on the said
Motion. It was ordered that he should be Exempted from
serving the said Offices on paying the said Fine.

Mr: James Povell chose
Constable .

Then Mr: James Povell< no role > was putt in Nomination to serve the
sd. Offices for the Year ensuing in the Room of Mr. Benezett< no role > & chose

Mr. John Abbott< no role > chose
2d. Years Inquestman

Then Mr. John Abbott< no role > & Mr: Wm: Kempton were severally put
in Nomination to serve the Office of second Years Inquestman
& the choice fell on Mr. Abbott.

A Complaint agt. Mr.
Archer that he neglected to
take due Care of the Chimes
& discharged.


Mr. Hunter chose in his
Room at an allowance of
£10 P. Ann:

At this Meeting a Complaint was made against Mr. Archer< no role >
that he neglected to take due Care of the Clock & Chimes, who
being heard in his place as to the Matter of the said complaint
& being ordered to withdraw the Gentlemen present took the
same into Consideration and the Question being putt
whether he should be continued for one Quarter longer
look after the Clock & Chimes or be discharged imediatly
It was Carried by a Majority that he should be imediatly
discharged, & Mr: Hunter was then chose in his Room at
the annual Allowance of Ten Pounds.

Thos: Oyles< no role > & Mr. Jas: Hebert< no role >
returned to ye. Wardmote for
Comon Councel Men

Then Joseph Hankey< no role > Esqr : Mr. Thomas Oyles< no role > & Mr. James
Hebert were severally nominated to be returned to the
Wardmote for Common Councel Men for the Year
ensuing and were ordered to be returned accordingly
