Ordered at the request of Mr. James Fordham< no role > on paymt. down of
thirty Guineas & of fifteen pounds P ann additionall Rent for
the Hall, that the Repairs of the North side of the Hall be done by
the Company & a new story be raised over the Hall, for Mr.
Fordham for the same number of Years as are to come in the
Lease of the Hall pursuant to the Agreemt. with the Company
bearing date this day entred in this [..] Book at length.

Agreemt. abt. Repairs
at the Hall.

It is Ordered & Agreed by & between the sd. Master Wardens & Assistants
of the sd. Company at ye. request of the Mr. James Fordham< no role > the present Tenant
of their Hall, that the Agreemt. lately made between ye. sd. Company & him
concerning the repairs of the north side of the Hall on his present
paymt. of thirty Guineas be & is hereby confirmed And further in
consideracon of fifteen pounds a year advanced Rent to be paid to the
sd. Company by the sd. James Fordham< no role > at the days & times & in such
manner & subject to the life Covenants as are in his Lease of the
Hall & with a power to distreyne for the same It is agreed That the
sd. Company shall do the repairs & raise a new story as are hereafter
menconed, Vizt. That the sd. Company do secure & make sound all the
principall Timbers of their Hall, and finish all other works about
the same, and also do raise a new Story atleast nine feet clear in
height over the Sd. Hall & the end Room, & divide the Story into ye. said
number of Rooms as are now five Garretts, & likewise make a strong
wainscott partition worked on both sides & make a clear passage of [..]
or seven foott wide from one end of the building to the other with door
out of the same into each Room, & a large Sush Window at each end of
ye. sd. Passage, the Rooms in the new story all new floored & laid even from
end to end, and the passage laid with old Boards & a proper number of Sash
Lights in each Room, & two Chimneys in the new Building & a Door to do
end Room to the next Room, the long passage one side lined with Deal, and
make good all dainage done to any other part of the buildings by reason
of that sd. worke and all the sd. Work to be compleatly finished in its sewa [..]
parts fitt for use. the sd. Agreemt. to be indorsed on Mr. Fordham Lease of
the Hall & to comence from Michas next for so many years as will be
then to come of the Lease of the Hall at the sd. yearly Rent of fifteen
pounds payable as above sd. All which the sd. James Fordham< no role > doth
hereby consent & agree to In Witness whereof the sd. Master & Warden
to one part & the sd. James Fordham< no role > to the other part hereof have
hereinto interchangeably sett their hands & seals the day & year first
above written.
