At a General Court held at the Hall
Friday November the 27th 1741 .

Present

The Wardens Assistants and most of the
Livery.

The Clerke by the Direction of the Wardens and Assistants
declared a Vacancy to the Livery of the Death of Mr
Nathaniel Ward< no role > our Late Master deceased And that they
had perused the Bye Laws in respect to the Choice of a
New Master in the Room of the sd. Mr Ward Deceased.
And the Clerke further acquainted the Livery that they were
Summon'd as usual for this Election according To a Bye Law
in such Case made and provided then they proceeded to the Choice
and Mr Nathaniel Benbridge< no role > Mr Samuel Boughton< no role > and Mr
Edward Boucher< no role > were Nominated to Chuse one of them Master in
the Room of the said Mr Ward deceased And the sd. Nathaniel
Benbridge< no role > was Chosen Master for the remaining part of the year
Then the Wardens and Assistants withdrew into the Parlour and
put in Nomination for upper Warden in the Room of Mr Benbridge
chosen Master And then went into the Hall and Nominated
(with the Assents of the Livery) Thos. Ripley< no role > Esqr ., Mr. George Newland< no role >
and Mr. Robert Plimpton< no role > to be upper Warden And the said
Thos. Ripley< no role > Esqr . was Chosen upper Warden for the Remaining Part
of the Year in the Room of the said Mr Benbridge Chosen Master
as aforesaid And the sd. Nathaniel Benbridge< no role > was now Sworn in
Master accordingly, But Thos. Ripley< no role > Esqr . being Absent his Swearing
in is Deferred to the next Court.

Mr. Nathaniel Benbridge< no role > being Chosen Master in the Room of
Mr Ward deced the Master Elect Wardens and Assistants withdrew
into the Parlour And declared a Vacancy for upper Warden in the
Room of Mr Nathaniel Benbridge< no role > Chosen Master And Thomas.
Ripley< no role > Esqr . being next in Turn to be upper Warden(And this year out
of Office) The Master Elect Wardens and Assistants (with the Assents
of the Livery) do put in Nomination for upper Warden
