Continued, Wednesday. 18th. July 1798 .

That the Committee had approved of Henry Mitton< no role > , and
Thomas Astle< no role > , Junr ., Esquires , to be Governors of these
Hospitals.

That, an application had been made to the Committee by
Mr. Emmitt, the Lincolnshire, Receiver, that he should be
allowed. 50 Guineas Per Ann: in liece of his present
Salary of £30 Per Ann: and £5. PCt. for holding the Tithes,
the same being inadequate to the Trouble he has in the
execution of his Office, And that the Committee having
considered the Services which Mr. Emmitt has rendered
to these Hospitals, consented thereto, And resolved that
the same be recommended to the next General Court.

And had Ordered, that the Tenants of the House in
Bridewell Precinct , the Leases of which are near expiring,
should, at the expiration thereof, be accepted as Tenants to
the Hospital, at the Rents they then Paid to their Land lords,
provided the same were, in the Opinion of the Surveyor, a
fair Valuation for the Houses they occupied.

And, that the Poor's Box was Opened, in which was found
13 Guineas.

And had Ordered different Payments to be made amountg.
to £315..12..1½.

The Minutes of the Committee of Auditors of the 27th. June last
were read and confirmed, whereby it appeared.

That the Committee had Audited the Accounts of both
Hospitals for the last three Months, and that the
Sums which were in the Hands of the different Officers
amounted to £2,396..16..6½.

At this Court a Motion was made and Seconded, that an increase
should be made in the Salary Paid to the Lincolnshire Receiver
agreeably to the recommendation of the House Committee which
was carried in the Affirmative.
