for Fowkes Gift


Verry Citizen and Weaver Setting forth That he
served his apprenticeship in this Hospital to Wm. Dell
by Indenture Dated 25th. June 1773 and by Order of
Court of the 20th. of December 1780 was made Free of this
City the 8th. day of March 1786 and was set up for
himself in his Trade as a Weaver at No. 5 New Exchange
Court in the Strand and praying part of Mr. Fowkes's
Gift It is Ordered that George Stubbs< no role > Esqr . Mr. John
Maddison
< no role > and John Birch< no role > Esqr . or any two of them be
desired to Inquire if the said James Verry< no role > be set up for
himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein
and report the same to the Court.

Bowing Josiah< no role > to be inquired
after for Fowkes Gift


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Josiah
Bowing
< no role > Citizen and Orrice weaver Setting forth That
he served his apprenticeship in this Hospital to Wm. Wilby< no role >
by Indenture Dated 9th. July 1773 and by Order of Court
of the 2d. November 1780 was made free of this City the
Day of1785 was set up for himself at No 50.
Chiswell Street Moorfields & Praying part of Mrs. Fowkes's
Gift It is Ordered that Mr. Deputy Rogers, Mr. Saml.

desired to Inquire if the said Josiah Bowing be set up for
himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein
and report the same to the Court.

Calow Benjamin< no role > to be inquired
after for Mr. Lock's Gift


Upon Reading the humble Petition of
Benjamin Calow Citizen and Weaver Settingforth That
he served his apprenticeship in this Hospital to Roger
Owen
< no role > by Indenture Dated 3d. December 1776 and by an
Order of Court of the 29th. of January 1784 was made free
of this City the 31st. Day of March 1784 was set up for
himself in his Trade at Mr. Prattons Baker, Upper Ground
near Blackfriars Bridge Surry has received part of Mrs. Fowkes's Gift Praying part of Mr.
Locks Gift It is Ordered that Henry Major< no role > Esq. Mr.
Samuel Hall< no role > & Robt. Sherson< no role > Esqr . or any two of them be
desired to Inquire if the sd. Benjn. Calow be set up for himself
in his sd. Trade & of his hopefulness therein & report the same
to the Court.
