Continued Thursday 19th. July 1781

1778 was set up for himself in his Trade as a Pinmaker at No. 10
Long Walk King John's Court Bermondsey and has received Mr.
Fowkes Gift and praying part of Mr Lock's Gift It is Ordered
that James Kettilby< no role > Esqr Nicholas Nixon< no role > Esqr . and Thomas
Calserley
< no role > Esqr or any two of them be desired to Inquire If the said John
Straw is set up for himself in his Trade and of his Hopefulness
therein and Report the same to the Court.

At this Court Francis Russell< no role > late Apprentice
to Roger Owen< no role > was Ordered to be made free of this City Gratis

Bedford James to be put at
Apprentice


It is Ordered that James Bedford< no role > be put out
Apprentice to one of the Artsmasters in this Hospital at the
Nomination of Mr. Nathaniel Spry< no role > upon his the said Mr Spry's
Entering into a Bond in the Penalty of £50 That the said James
Bedford
< no role > shall not become chargeable to the Precinct of Bridewell
The Parish Officers of East Greenwich in the County of Kent havg.
refused to grant the said James Bedford< no role > a Certificate of his Settlemt.
notwithstanding his father is and Inhabitant legally settled
therein and the said James Bedford< no role > hath acquired no other
Legal Settlement than under his Father

Anderson John< no role > was Produced

in the County of Middlesex Esqr . was appointed a Governor of these
Hospitals by Richard Clark< no role > Esqr . Aldn Treasurer pursuant to
an Order of Court of the 29th. day of May 1775 and It is Ordered
That a Staff be sent to the said Mr. Henderson forthwith

Wilkins Charles the Like


At this Court Mr. Deputy Charles Wilkins< no role > of
was appointed a Governor of
these Hospitals by Henry Cranke< no role > Esqr . Andr Genl. pursuant to
an Order of Court of the 27th. day of November 1778 And It is Ordered
that a Staff be sent to the said Mr Wilkins forthwith
