a Lunatic and the Certificate of the
Minister Churchwardens and Overseer of the Poor of the Parish
of Wellington
in the County of Hereford
thereto annexed in the Words
and figures following "That his said Lunatic's Sister was discharged
out of Bethlem Hospital
about the 22nd June last as incurable & fit
and sent to her Friends at Wellington in the County of hereford where
she continued to Labour under the Influance of her melancholly
disorder. In January last unobserved she left her Apartment &
meeting with her Youngest Child unfortuneately Murdered it by cutting
its throat, for which henious Offence she was Try'd at the last Assizes
holden for the County of Hereford by Mr. Serjacent Forster who
Acquitted her and strongly recommended an humble & respectful
representation of her Case should be made to the president and
governors of Bethlem Hospital. Your Petitioner unhappy Sister
has two other small Children for whom he is willing to make the
best provision in his power being himself a Person of mean
Condition and subsisting by hard Labour He therefore most
humbley prays you will Please to take into your consideration his
unhappy Sisters Case and grant her the Indulgance of being
received the first Vancacy on the Incurable List And your Petr. will
ever pray Etc.
