Gratuities to Beadles
and Porters Man


Upon Reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles and Porters
Man of this Hospital for their Gratuities of £5 each for the half year
at Midsummer next (their Salaries being small) It is Ordered that the
Clerk do give pay unto them £5 each & to be allowed him in his
next Account

Upon Reading the humble Petition of William Rhodes< no role > Setting forth
That by Indenture of Lease bearing date the 9th. day of September 1738 the
governors of Bridewell Hospital did Demise to John Smither< no role > a Piece of
Ground whereon was Built 6 Messuages situate in the Precinct of Bridewell
London To hold to the said John Smither< no role > his Executors Administrators
& Assigns from Christmas then last for the term of Sixty one Years at and
under the Yearly Rent and Covenants in the said indenture expressed That two
of the said Messuages by several Mesne Assignments became Vested in the said
William Rhodes< no role > for the Term of 60 Years part of the said Term of 61 Years
It is Ordered that the said William Rhodes< no role > have leave & Lycence to Assign
Over his Estate and Interest in the said two Messuages & Premises to Nathan
Atherton
< no role > of the Parish of Saint Mary le bone in the County of Middlesex
Gentleman Subject to the Rent and Covenants in the said Original Indenture
of Lease to be paid and Observed

to Grant Under Leases of
Four Messrs situate in
Old Bethlem which he
holds by Assignment


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Robert Holmes< no role > Esqr . Setting forth
that by Indenture of Lease bearing date the 23d. day of June 1755 the governors
of the Hospital of Bethlem London Did demise to John Holmes< no role > a Piece or
Parcel of Ground situate in Bishopsgate Street & Old Bethlem in the Parish of
Saint Botolph Bishopsgate London and the 5 several Messuages or
Tenements thereon Erected & Built To hold to the said John Holmes< no role > his
Executors Admors & Assigns from the Feast day of the Annunciation of the
Blessed Virgin Mary which was in the year of our Lord 1754 for the Term of 59
Years at and under the yearly Rent & Covenants in the said indenture Expression
