Vizt. Sir with Submission to you I have presumed to Trouble you with<lb></lb>
the Inclosed Petitions wherein I have mentioned and set forth the Distressed<lb></lb>
Situation I am in And as I have been Advised by most of my Particular<lb></lb>
Friends and Acquaintance to lay my Case before the Worshipful the Govrs humbly<lb></lb>
Intreat the favour of your to be so kind as to deliver the same to them at their next<lb></lb>

that it was agreed on the Govrs. part That there shod be Elected a New Manston House Dairy<lb></lb>
Brewhouse Barns Stables, Cowhowdes, with a Farm Yard, Richd Yard & other Offices<lb></lb>
& Buildings according to a Plan Produced to the Petitioner before Michs 1762. That<lb></lb>
the Farm consists of about 320 Acres neat part of which when the Petr Eastrod was Common<lb></lb>

Consisted of a Fact of Ground called the Heath Allotmt Just taken out of a Poor Adjoing Common<lb></lb>
& which had never recd the least Cathisation whatrThat besides the Agreemt to Besides<lb></lb>
a new Houses & sd offices & Conveniences before stated It was also agreed that the Govrns shod Mound<lb></lb>
& Divide all the Common Field Lands & Heaths Allotmts. either with Ditches & Quicks Hedges<lb></lb>
a Walls & lay the same out in Convenient Grounds as soon as conveniently could be done and<lb></lb>
makes proper and convenient Ponds in the Grounds-That the Petr. in full Considenes of the<lb></lb>
Agreements being performed on the Govrs. part Entred on the Farm & Got a good Stock of Sheep & Cattle<lb></lb>
thereon & hoped not only to pay the Rent Regularly but also to have acaquired a comfortable<lb></lb>
Subsistance for himself and his Family But Petitioner humbly Represents That he was<lb></lb>
put to very great Inconveniences Damages & Expences by the Farm Houses Stables Cowhouses<lb></lb>
& other Offices being neglected to be Compleated according to the Contract and That when the<lb></lb>
Hedges round the now Inclosures were at first set with Quick, they were so unskilfully Plasited<lb></lb>
that great part of them Died by reason whereof & the Dupress of the season most part Miscarried<lb></lb>
& the same were obliged to be Planked again in same Places 3 times over-That the<lb></lb>
Petr. was at the Expence of Carrying all the Bushes & Stakes great part from their Forest of<lb></lb>
Whitwood at 7 or 8 Miles Distance for which he had no Allowance on Satisfaction<lb></lb>
That the Petitioner has Received great Damages in his Corn & Grain the the Defect of<lb></lb>
the Feners as well from his own as his Neighbours Cattle Sheep & Swine & has been obliged<lb></lb>
to keep & employ ten Boys Extraordinary to preserve & like care of the same That<lb></lb>
the Petrs Rent to so high and the Bargain so Dear that with these atmost Labour & Industry he<lb></lb>
has not been able to pay his Rent & by the Poverty & Ill Condn of the Term with the Losses of<lb></lb>
Sheep & Cattle which he has sustained to the amount of above £500 is become greatly in<lb></lb>
Arrear & unable to discharge the same or to make good his farther Payments & is distressed<lb></lb>
& Dejected in his Maid that unless the Govrs take his Case in to bone" the Petr. Apprehends<lb></lb>
it will be his Aller Ruon-Therefore most humbly Prayed the Govrs would Consider<lb></lb>
his Situation & make him such Allowance in respect of the Damages & Expences he has<lb></lb>
Sustained & the work & Labour he has done by himself his Teams & Servants & make<lb></lb>
him such Abatemt of Res as well for the shine past as to come or view him such<lb></lb>
other Relief as the Govrs shod think proper It is Ordered that the said<lb></lb>
several Matters contained in the said Letter and Petition be and the same are<lb></lb>
hereby referred to the House Committee that they do Consider the same and<lb></lb>
Report their Opinion thereon to the Court</p>
