to be kept Locked Mondays
Tuesdays & Wednesdays in
Easter & Whitson Weeks & the
6 Succeedings days after Christ

At this Court it was Ordered That for the future the,
Doors of Bethlem Hospital be kept Locked and no Stranger
Permitted to come in upon the Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays
next after Easter Sunday, and Whitsunday and the 3 Succeedings
Days next after christmas day Yearly And that Notice be
Given of this Order in the Publick Papers on the Mondays
Wednesdays and Fridays next preceding each Festival

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of John Boddington< no role >
of the Tower of London Esquire Admor of Charles Boddington< no role >
late of Bishopgate Hosier Deceased Setting forth That
Thos. Young< no role > an a Lossee of Sevl. House in Old Bethlem under an
Indre dated 21 December 1753 Demised to the said Charles
Boddington
< no role > a Messuage or Tenement in Old Bethlem aforesaid
being the Cornor House a butting on Bishopgate Street To
Hold to said Charles Boddington< no role > his Executors Admors. and
Assigns from Lady day then last for the Term of 21 Years at the
Rent of £60that Petr. being desirous to Assign the said
Lease John Butt< no role > of Bishopgate Street aforesaid Hosier Contracted
with Petitioner for same and said Thos. Jerningham< no role > being acquainted
there with by a Licence under his Hand bearing date 11th March
1763 Signified hid consent to such Assignmt. & Accordingly on
the 19th August 1765 the said Messuage or Tenemt. was Assigned
to the sd. John Butt< no role > by the Clerk and approbation was necessary to
such Assignmt. Petr. as well as said Butt prayed the same
this Court having considered the said Petition doth Confirm
the said Assignment

Upon hearing Mr. Holford Secretary to the New River Compy.
who Represented to the Court that John Holditch< no role > had been in
Possession of the Warehouse in the Precinct Ordered to be Let to
the said Company on the 19th January 1753 ever since the
Date of the said Order That they had frequently applied to
the said John Holditch to quit the said Warehouse and that
3 Months Notice had been Given him so to do But that he
with held the Possession in Defiance as well of the said Company
as of this Hospital. This court doth Order that the Clerke of
this Hospital do forthwith Cause an Ejectment to be delivered to
the said John Holditch and Proceed to the Recovery of the Possession
of the said Premises

This Court doth Elect Brackley Kennet< no role > Esqr . of Pall Mall and
John Durand< no role > of Carshalton Esqr governors of these Hospitals and
order Staffs to be sent them forth with not with standing the Order of Court
