And also upon Reading the humble Petition of Mr Robert
Taylor
< no role > Setting forthThat 11th. July 1752 He Agreed for Mr Walpole
with Robert Hardcastle< no role > for a peice of ground in Old Bethlem and the
Liberty of the Passage thro the Stable Yard behind Mr Handleys
House Adjoining And began building a House which Projected
backwards beyond Mr. Handleys Upon which Mr. Handley declared
That unless that your Petitioner put back the said building he
shou'd not have a Passage thro the Stable Yard which your
Petitioner Apprehended he had a Right to And Hardcastle
declared that Notwithstanding Mr. Handley had Omitted inserting
it in the Agreement between them he wou'd Oblige him to
Consent thereto, But the Petitioner being willing to Avoid
Trouble proposed Compounding the Matter Amicably
Whereupon Mr. Handley Agreed the Petr. shaud have a free
Passage on the Conditions in a Paper wrote by himselfYet
Tho. the Petr. has Complied with every Particularly of the sd. Agreemt.
Mr. Handley now refuses it thereby Greatly Prejudueing that part
of the Estate belonging to the CharityAnd as the Governors
have reserved 6 feet of ground backwards all along the bothside
of the Ground let to Handcastle Praying that fee Egress &
regress thro' the sd. back ground may be granted to the Petr. on
such Terms as the Governors shall think fitt It is Ordered
That the said Report be referred back to the Comittee And
that the said Petition of Mr. Malpole, Mellor, & Hardcastle
and the Petition of Mr Robert Taylor be referr'd to the same
Comittee to Examine into the Allegations and Consider the
some And to Report their Opinion upon the whole Matter to
the Court.

Vizt.In Pursuance of an Order of Court the 17th of July last
This Comittee have Caused a plan to be Drawn Markt (A) of
a House to be Erected on the Ground on the West side of the Great Gate
of this Hospital for the Residence of the Trear of these Hospitals for the
time being and an Estimate of the Charge of building and fitting it up
According to the sd. Plan Amounting to £3/24 It is Ordered that
the sd. Plan and Estimate be laid before the next Court & Submitted
to the Consideration and further direction of the Court

to be lett on a Building Lease}


Ordered an Advertisement to be Published that the Ground in
Bridewell Precinct (No.12) is to be lett on a Building lease.
