Accounts The [..]

The Right Worshipfull The President Reported to this Court the Ballance
of the Accounts of these Hospitals to Christmass last which were Audited the
26th. of April last the Ballance of Bridewell being £4066.11And
Bethlem and the Incurables £13389.1.

Mr. Taylor Repeated to this Court that in Persuance of their Order of the
27th. of Febry. last (a Coppy of which he sent to Mr. North Clerk of Merchant
Tailors Company) He attended at the Hall on their Court day the 19th. of
April when Mr North Acquainted Him That the Freeman of the sd Compa
on their Admission were bound by Oath to bring their Apprentices at the
begining of their times or before to the Hall and there present them
before the Master and Wardens & there the Indres to be madeAnd by
an Ancient by Lane every one who does not Comply with the sd. Rule
forfeits 40)And by an Act of Parliament of the 5th. & 6th. W. & [..] lease
It is Enacted That every Person being free of the respective Companys
within the City of London or the Libertys who shall take any Apprentice
shall bind him, before the Master and Wardens of such Company whereof
the Master is a Members which Apprentice at the time of he binding
shall pay 2./6 which the sd. Wardens shall pay to the Chamberlain of
London EtcBut the Master & Wardens would (as this Court desired)
Admitt John Cornes< no role > (who was bound and Served his Apprenticeship in
this Hospital) to the freedom of the said Company on his paying the sd.
Poudlly of 40 which Mr North is to return to him.
