Setting forthThat the petitioners late Father
John Geldart< no role >
was an Artsmaster
of this
Hospital about Eight Years and dyed the Tenth of January lastThat the Petitioner

lived with his said Father to the time of his Death and took Care and Managed his Dressings for
him he being very Infirm for a considerable time before his DeathThat the Petitioners
said late Father left a Widow unprovided for and the Petitioner is in Duly bound to support her which
he is very willing to do to the very Utmost of his powerThat the Petitioner is willing to
take such a Number of Apprentices as the Court shall think fitt and to keep his appartment
in repair with Glazing Plaistering and Whileing at his own Expence as is usually done by the
Artsmasters and to Cornpty with als Orders of the Court and Committee made and to be
made in relation to ArtsmastersAnd praying to be let Ellected an Artsmaster in the
Room of his said late FatherAnd the Question being put that the said

till the next Ellection dayAnd it is Ordered that the said

Accordingly upon his giveing Security as usual and Entering into the usual Covenants with
a Covenanted to be Added that he will not Sett up or use any Engine Loemen this Hospital and
that the Journeymen which he shall Employ in his said Trade shall be such as have Served
their Apprenticeships in this HospitalAnd it is further Ordered that he have
such Appartment in this Hospital as the Committee of this House shall direct
Stone figures at Bethlem
Ordered that it be incerted in the Ticketts for the next Court to reconsider the Orders of
Court of 20th. December 1745 and 30th. April 1746 relating to the Setting up the two stone figures
of Lunaticks which were up on the Pillars of the Gate of Bethlem Hospitaland likewise to
Consider of altering the Windows in the Great Hall
