Upon reading the humble Petition of Hugh Paterson< no role > of Newport
Alley near Newport Market Tailer Setting forthThat in ease
the Governors will be pleased to put the House Situate in St: Martins
Lane near Charing Cross now in the Occupation of William Steward< no role > into
Tenantable repair by Christmas next The Petitioner Proposes to take a Lease
thereof with Such Covenants as are usually contained in Leases from Tho
Governors to the Tenants for Seven Years to comence from Christmas next at
the Yearly Rent of Twenty Pounds Payable Quarterly at the Compling
House of the Hospital of Bridewell London Provided there be Convenent
in the Lease that the Petitioner may quit the Premisesses if he thinks fit
at the end of Three or Five Years on giving Six moths Notice
praying the Governors to grant him a Lease according to his said Propasalls
It is Ordered that the said Petition be referred to the Comee of this
House to consider thereof & to make their Report thereon to the Court.

for Twenty one Years at Eighteen Pounds P Annum St Pay all Taxes or
Twenty one Pounds and the Governors to pay Taxes, and to be allowed
Ten Pounds the first year towards repairs It is Ordered that the
said Petition be referred to the Comee of this House to consider thereof
& to make their Report thereon to the Court
