Upon reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles of this Hospital<lb></lb>
for their usual Gratuitys of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year<lb></lb>
ending at Christmass last for that their Salarys are but small It is Ordered<lb></lb>
that the Clerk of these Hospital do give and pay unto them Forty Shillings<lb></lb>
a peice to be allowed him in his next Account.</p>

charges himself with £52..12..4 for the Prisoners labor (at 4d. P diem<lb></lb>
for a man and 2e. for a woman or Boy) from the 22d. Novr. 1737. the day<lb></lb>
he was admitted Artsmaster to 30th. Septr. 1739But thereout crave a<lb></lb>
deduction of £28..9..3 for his charges in looking after the Prisoners and<lb></lb>
keeping them at work before he was admitted Artsmaster Viztr. from<lb></lb>
16th. June to said 22d. Novr. 1737. without allowing any thing for their<lb></lb>
labor during that time so that he makes only £24..3..1 remaining due to<lb></lb>
the Hospital for the Prisoners labor from 16th. June 1737. to the 30th. Septr. 1739<lb></lb>
which is two years and about three months.</p>
<p n="1269">The Steward by his Account charges the Hempdresser for the Labor as follows<lb></lb>
From 16th. June to 22d. Novr. 1737. (for which Withers reakons nothing)18..17..2.<lb></lb>
& from that time to 30th. Septr. 1739 (wch. Mr. Withers reckons but £52..12..4)57..8..10<lb></lb>
Total £76..6..-</p>
<p n="1270">And besides this the Steward says that during that time there were Prisoners<lb></lb>
in the Hospital able to work whome the <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20206_occ1161">Hempdresser</rs>
