of part of ye Od Burying ground

Upon Reading the humble Petition of Edward Cordwell< no role > Cittizen and
Carpenter of London Setting forth that the Petr. was burnt out of his
late dwelling house In Bridewell Precinct and now dwelleth in the
said Precinct in a house adjoyning to the old Burying Ground but has
no Conveinency in the said house for his men to work inAnd praying
that the Governor s would be pleased to Grant him a Lease for seven years to
Comence from Lady day 1721. of a peice of the said Burying Ground on
the South side thereof about 36. foot Long & fifteen foot broad at
the yearly Rent of Three pounds It is Ordered that the said petition
be Referred to the Comee of this house who are desired to Inquire whether
or no it be Consecrated Ground and to Report their opinion what is
proper to be done thereon

Higgins Eliz< no role > . pet for a Lease
in Holborne Ref}


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Elizabeth Higgins< no role > widdow
and Admrx of Francis Higgins< no role > deced Setting forth That the Petrs.
late husband held of the Governor 's of this Hospital a house in Holborn
(part of Mr Locks Gift) which is much out of Repair and the Petr.
is willing to Continue Tenant in the said house and to take a Lease
thereof And praying that the said house might be putt into Repair
and that the Governors would Grant her a Lease thereof for Eleven
years at the former yearly Rent of £40It is Ordered that
the Consideration of the said Petition be Referred to ye Comittee of
this house who are desired to Report their opinion therein to this Court

Beadles gratuity for ½ yr
a Xmas 1720}


Upon reading the humble Petition ofofthe four Beadles and
Portersman of this hospital for then usual Gratuitys of forty Shillings
a peice in respect of the half year ending at Christmas last for that
their Salaries are but Small It is Ordered that the Clerk of
this hospital do give and pay unto them forty Shillings a peice
to be allowed him in his next account

Basketmens gra ½ yr. at
Xmas 1720


Upon reading the humble Petition of the three Basketmen of the
Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty
Shillings a peice in respect of the halfe year ending at Xmas
last for that their Salaries are but Small It is Ordered that
the Clerk of these hospitals do give and pay unto them
Twenty Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next account.
