Chosen president}

This Court according to the Order of the last Court proceeded to the
Election of a president of these hospitals in the room of the
Right Worshippll . sr William Withers< no role > Knight and Alderman
deceased late president if these hospitals And the Right
Honble sr John Fryer< no role > Baronett Lord Mayor of this City
presiding in Court and desireing not to be put in nomination
in regard his affairs would not Permit him to attend the said
Office Thereupon all the Aldermen who are in the Comission
of the peace (Except the president of the other hospitals and
work house of this City) being Severally put in nomination
The Right Worshippll sr Samuel Garrard< no role > Baronett and
Alderman was unanimously Elected And this Court doth
accordingly declare him president of these hospitals untill
the next Election day and doth desire that Mr: Trear and
the Comittee of this house or any three of them do wait upon
the said sr Samuel Garrard< no role > and acquaint him that this Court
hath unanimously Elected him president of these hospitals
in the Room of sr William Withers< no role > deceased And that it is
the Request of the Court he will be pleased to accept the same.
