The Clerk of these hospitals acquainted this Court that
he had reced a Letter from Mr. Baker son of Daniel
Baker
< no role > Esqr . deced late Trear of these hospitals whereby
he desired that his sd. father's Cash book relateing to
these hospitals might be delivered to him that he might
peruse ye same in Order to Settle the account with these
Hospitals and desired that the sd. Letter (which the Clerke
produced) might be read to the Court but the same being
very long the Court was of Opinion it would take up more
time than could now conveniently be Spares & considering
that the sd Book (which is now before a Mar in Chancery
or in the hands of Mr Marriott who is Sollr. for these
Hospitals in the Cause depending with the widdow of Mr.
Jeremy Mount< no role > deced late Clerk of these Hospitals) is a
material if not the only evidence for these Hospitals
whereby to Charge the Representatives of the sd Late Trear
with the Ballance of his Account due to these Hospitals
It is Ordered nomine contradicente that a Copy of Mr.
Baker the late Treasurer of these Hospitals Cash book
be made & examined & delivered to his son Mr Baker or
his order and that the Original book be left with the
Clerke of this Hospital and that Mr Baker the son or
any pson or psons for him may from time to time have
recourse to and inspect ye same.

This Court being appointed for the Eleccon of a Porter
of the Hospital of Bridewell in the room of William Empson< no role >
who resigned the said office It is Ordered That the
Petitions of the Candidates be read in Alphabetical Order
& accordingly the several Petitions of Edward Anderton< no role >
John Avis< no role > James Male< no role > Senr . Peter Pickering< no role > William
Tindall
< no role > John West< no role > & Thomas Weston< no role > being read they
were all made acquainted with the Order of the last Court
