Also upon Readeing to this Court the peticon of
Ezechiell Gilbert< no role > Jno. Shakesper< no role > and Thos. Bott< no role > Three
of the Tenants in Old Bethlem Setting fourth That
they were Undertenants to one Adam Scalfe< no role > a Quaker
who was Tenant by Lease to the Hospll. of Bethlem
at £15 P Ann Rent whose Lease Expired at Hpmas
last was Twelve months which Prmisses are Since
Lett by Lease to Wm. Birdwhistle< no role > That at the Time
of the great Wind the Prmisses were very much
Damnefied and applying themselves to the Comittee
then Sitting at Bethlem they were Ordred to repair
the Same and to Empty the House of Easemt. and were
promised it should be allowd out of their Rent That
they have Expended in Repairs Queens Taxes Etc
upwards of Six pounds and there being Three Quarter
of a Years Rent due between the Time of Mr. Scaffs
Lease Expiring and the Time of Mr. Birdwhistles
Lease comenceing which amounts to Eleaven pounds
five shillings They pray in Regard of Repairs Queen
Taxes Etc and being very Poor they may be discharged
paying the said Eleaven pounds five shillings being
the ground rent Whereupon it is Ordred by this
Court that this matter be referred to the Weekly
Comittee for Bethlem to consider the same and
Report their opineon therein to this Court

Beadles gratuity


Also upon Reading the humble peticon of the
four Beadles and porters Man of the Hospll. of Bridell .
for their Usuall Gratuitys of Twenty shillings a
peice in Respect of the Half Year ending at Lady
day last as also for Twenty Shillings as peice more
as hath been Usually given them for that their
