The Rt & Worspll Sr Robt Clayton< no role > Knt and Aldran of
this City one of the Governors of these Hosplls. desireing that
one Stephen Swift< no role > and John Harding< no role > two Prisoners that were
Comitted to this Hospll from the Sessions house in the Old
Bayly to work for one year night be called to the Barr wch.
being accordingly done, the said Sr. Robt. Clayton acquainted the
Court That the sd two Prisoners were for 6d. a day permitted to
go at large and that there were witnesses in Court ready to prove
the Fact.

And Charles Fox< no role > who is now a Servt to the Workhouse in
Bishopsgate street being now called into Court declared that abt
three days before Easter holydays Swift and Harding were at the
sd. Workhouse and likewise that last Monday night the sd Swift and
Harding were againe at the sd workhouse where Swift said he was
Poxt by one Elizabeth Chalke< no role > who for 6d was lett into the prison
of Bridewell on a Sunday by the Porters wife and permitted to
stay wch Swift: all Sermon time when Swift lay with her and
then she poxt him And that Swift also said that the and
Harding had been upon the Sneake and had robbed and gett a lapp
