Upon the humble Petition of Abraham Gassart< no role > on Behalfe of the
French Congregacon in Thredneedle Street for Some mittigacon of
the weekley paymt. of Five Shillings for the keeping of James
Cochefer
< no role > and Anthony Pique< no role > two poore French Protestants being
Lunatick in the Hospll. of Bethlem where they have been
maintained for three Yeares last at the Charge of the sd. Congregacon
who have Severall Hundreds of poor French protestants to mairtaine
and are dayly oppressed wth. great numbers of poor distressed Weavrs.
who for want of Imploymt. resort to them for Releife. This Court
Upon Consideracon and Debate of the matter and of the Consequences
of Making any Abatemt: in this Case Doe think fitt & soe Order That
noe Abatement or allowance be made on the sd. Petition.

Also Upon the humble Petition of Katherine Hubbard< no role > wid Shewing
That she was matron of the Hospll. of Bridewell for Seaven Yeares
& was in the Yeare 1689. discharged form her sd: office That she was
severall Yeares maintained by her Daughter who being reduced
to extreame Poverty and the Peticonr. haveing been Some time
Since by the Justices of this Citty ordered to Bridewell Precinct as
the last place of her legall Abods.. Did Implore the Charity of this
Court who the 18th. of December last were pleased to Order her
40s: to be paid her by 2s. a week towards her Support That the-
same is long since [..] out and the Petr. 75 Yeares of age
and in a very miserable and weake condicon Humbly Praying
therefore such further allowance for the Small time she has to
live As this Court in Charity shall think meet It is Ordered
That Mr. Trear doe Give & pay her 40s: by 2s: P week every
Munday begining on Munday next To be Allowed Mr. Trear in his
next Account

Also Upon the Humble Petition of Margtt. Gipps< no role > widow Shewing
That she was borne in Bridewell Hospll. wherein her Father was an
Artsmaster near Forty Yeares And That the Peticonr. was an
Artsmars. wife in the Same Hospll. abt. 36. Yeares during which
time She lived in good Creditt and kept Fourteene Apprentices
many Yeares together And That Jos: Gipps the Peticonrs. late
Husband wasted all the Peticonr. goods & other Effects in his life
time and dying left her in a very poore & miserable Condicon
And That she is very aged and both blind and lame and utterly
unable to help her Self That the Peticonr. Did the 18th: of Decr.
last prsume. to lay her Distressed case before this Court And
Thereupon 40s: was ordered to be paid the Peticonr. by 2s: a week
