Also upon the Senall humble Peticons of Gabriell Bestman< no role >
Joseph Gibbs< no role > George Marfield< no role > and Joshua Davis< no role > Weavers
for one of them to be chosen and Artsmaster of the Hospitall
of Bridewell in the Roome and place of Jeremy Catlyn< no role > who
is Speedily to remove thereout and they being senally putt in
nominacon It plainly appeared by plurality of hands That the
said Gabriell Bestman is Elected thereunto And it is thereupon
Ordered That the said Gabriel Bestman be admitted an Arstmar.
accordingly And hold and enjoy the rooms and Dwelling late in
the Holding of the said Jeremy Cattyn< no role > During the pleasure of
this Court On Such Security and under such Covenants and
Agreemts. as are usuall in like Cases.

Also P pon the humble Peticon of George Harvey< no role > for some
mittingacon of the weekly payment of Five Shillings Towards
the keeping ofHarvey his wife a poor Lunatick in the
Hospitall of Bethlem He having two children and nothing
but what he works for, & in a very low Condition and not
able to beare the charge of Five Shillings a weeks for his
Said Wife It is Ordered by this Court that Security being
given to pay Two Shillings and Six pence a week for her
keeping there for the future tha then the Same shall be
accepted and the bond for payment of Five Shillings a weeke
be Delivered up to be Cancelled.

Also upon the Humble peticon of Charity Holt< no role > of Medhurst in the
County of Sussex Widow for some unittingacon of the weekly payment
of 5s for her Son John holt< no role > a poor a Lunatick in the Hospll. of Bethlem he
having nothing of his own, and the Petr. having 10 Children and a very
Small matter wherewth. to Subsist & maintaine them Audit appearing
to this Court That the person who attended and [..] peticoned on
behalfe of the said Lunatick was not the said Charity Holt but one
Mrs. Jane King< no role > who is one of the Security for the Paymt. of the said 5s a weeke
for the said Lunatick This Court were of Opinion That it is not customary or
convenient for this Court to Entertaine & receive peticons from any other then
the parties themselves petitioning But a worthy Governr. of these Hospll. giving a
Satisfactory account to this Court of the Creditt & Worth of the said Mr. King and
considering that the Petr. lively very remote from London This Court doth thinke
fitt & Soe Order That Security being given to pay 2s: 6d a weeke for the keeping the
said John Holt< no role > there for the future that then the same shall be accepted and the
bond for payment of 5s. a weeke be delivered up to be cancelled but that this shall be
noe prsident for petitioning by proxy for the future.

Also upon the humble Peticon of John Tony< no role > Shoemaker (who
was brought up Apprentice with Thomas putten< no role > Shoemaker (one of the
Arstmasters of the said Hospll.) and Since made a Freeman of
this Citty by the Approbacon of this Court And who is Sett up
for himselfe (as he Alledgeth) in Greorys Court in Holborne
for some part of Mr Locks gift the better to enable him to manage
his said Trade It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. Meredale
and Mr. Lugg (two of the Governors of this Hospll.) be desired
to enquire of the said John Tony whether he be soe Sett up in his
Said Trade and of his Hopefullness therein And to make report
thereof to the next Court.
