fell from the Key of the Said Harbour into the Long Boat
whereby he very much fractured his Skull and was Sent to St.
Bartholomew's Hospitall in London the fifth day of April
one thousand Seven hundred & three and was discharged the
Seventh day of June following not being cured, And that the
Petr. being alsoe very much reduced & aged is by reason
thereof and of the fracture in his Skull aforesaid rendred
incapable of Serveing the Government or of getting
Subsistance to Support himself and Family, And the Petr.
therefore implored this Court (according to an Act of
Parliament made in the forty third yeare of Queen Elizabeth
and Since Perpetuated) to grant unto the Petr. a Pension
from this County, Now upon produceing of proper Certificates
to make out the truth of the Petr. case in Order to intitule
him to be allowed a Pension from this County This Court
being Satisfyed that the Said Michael Baker< no role > This name instance is in set 1524. the Petr. is a
Person deserveing to be admitted as a disabled Mariner &
Pensioner of this County and to have a yearly pension
allowed unto him Doth Order that the Said Michael Baker< no role > be and
he is hereby admitted as a disabled Mariner & Pensioner of this
County and this Court doth assign unto him the Said Michael
Baker and doth Order that he be allowed a yearly Pension of
four pounds, And that the Treasurer for the time being of the
moneys raised or to be raised for releife of maimed Soldiers &
Mariners within the Hundreds of Ossulston Edmonton & Gore
in the Said County doe yearly & every yeare well & truely
pay or cause to be paid unto the Said Michael Baker< no role > the yearly
pension or Sum of four pounds of lawfull money of Great
Britain by quarterly payments for & towards his better Support
& maintenance untill Order of the Court of General Quarter
Sessions of the peace for this County to the contrary, And that
the Said pension doe commence from Midsummer day
last past.

It is Ordered by this Court that John Higgs< no role > Gentl Treasurer of the
moneys raised in this County to defray the expences of Passing
and releiving of Vagrants Doe thereout or after he Shall have
Sufficient thereof in his hands forthwith pay unto William
Martin one of the Petty Constables of the Parish of
Southmims in the Said County the Sum of fifteen pounds for
the Salary allowed to him for his trouble & expences in
