Blower being Chose Beadle
of the Ward

places of Sexton and Organ Blower< no role > Or to Resign, He
told the Gentlemen present That having been Chose
Beadle of the Ward He desired their Leave to Resign
the places and return'd his Thanks to them for All
their Favours to him.

Whereupon Mr Church Warden Scowthroup
acquainted the Gentleman present That there were
several Parishioners Candidates for the Places of Sexton

read their Names in his place. Vizt.

The Candidates Reduced
to Two Vizt.

Ordered That Ann Cooper< no role > the Daughter
of the said Mr Cooper be added to the said Candidates
And that they severally be put up And reduced
afterwards to Two And the said Four Candidates were
severally putt up Accordingly

And Mr Church Warden Scowthroup Declared
That upon the several Holding up of Hands there Appear'd
to be a Great Majority for Caleb Lee< no role > and the Widdow
Parker.

And the Gentlemen present then Agreed to
Divide for the said Candidates And they Divided
Accordingly But upon such Division Mr Church Warden
Scowthroup Declared That the Number for each
Candidates were equal or so near that He did not know
who had the Majority Whereupon Great Debates arising
