The Information of Patrick Byrne< no role > This name instance is in set 3484. at Mr
George Catlet< no role > 's Baker in Chatham in the County
of Kent Baker taken upon Oath this Sixteenth
day of October 1753.

This Information upon his Oath saith That about the
Beginning of the Month of April last One Mary Larkin< no role > This name instance is in set 3485. Siglewoman was brought
to Bed of a Female Bastard Child in the Parish of Saint Margaret
in the City of Rochester in the County of Kent whereupon the Officers
of the said Parish took this Informant up by a Warrant from a Justice
of the Peace and he this Informant was there upon [..] Comitted to and Confined
in his Majesty's Prison at Rochester aforesaid for the Space of Three
Days But upon this [..] Informants entring into a Bond
with Sufficient Securitys and despositing the Sum of Five Pounds
to Answer any Charges the parish might sustain by the Child
continuing in the parish he this Informant was discharged and
same few Days after he this Informant caused the said Female Bastard
Child to be brought up to London in Order to endeavour to have it taken
into the Founding Hospital And this Informant further saith
That upon the said Childs coming to London he was recomended to and
left the said Child with One Mary Thornton< no role > This name instance is in set 3483. of Wild Street in the
Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields Middx Midwife and thereupon
he this Informant deposited in her Hands One Guinea to Answer
the Charge of Maintaining the said Child untill [..]
Application could be made to the Foundling Hospital or in Case
the said Child was not admitted into the said Hospital the said
Guinea was to Answer all Expences of Maintenance till this
Informant came to London again And this Informant upon his
Oathsaithfurther saith that Some time about the Begining of
June he this Informant came to Sown again when he was Informed
by the said Mary Thornton< no role > This name instance is in set 3483. in General Terors that the said Child
was dead but could not or would not tell [..] him what time in
Particular the said Child dyed or where it was Buried And this
Informant further saith That he hath several Times applied to
the said Mary Thornton< no role > This name instance is in set 3483. for a Satisfactory Account of the said
Childs Death Burial but can get none therefore this
Informant hath just Reason to Suspect the said Female
