touching the licensing<lb></lb>
Retalers of Brandy and other distilled liquors,<lb></lb>
and for better regulating of licenses for common<lb></lb>
Inns and Alehouses, It is (inter al) Enacted <lb></lb>
That from & after the <rs type="date" id="LMSMPS50261_date33">twenty fourth day of<lb></lb>
June one thousand seven hundred & twenty <lb></lb>
nine</rs>

no licence shall be granted to any person<lb></lb>
to keep a common Inn or Alehouse or to retail<lb></lb>
any Brandy or strong waters, but at a General<lb></lb>
Meeting of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50261_occ57">Justices of the peace</rs>

acting in the<lb></lb>
Division where the said person dwells to be<lb></lb>
holden for that purpose on the first days of<lb></lb>
September yearly or within twenty days after<lb></lb>
or at any other General Meeting of the said Justices<lb></lb>
to be holden for the Division wherein the said<lb></lb>
person resides, And all licences which shall after<lb></lb>
the said <rs type="date" id="LMSMPS50261_date34">twenty fourth day of June one thousand<lb></lb>
seven hundred & twenty</rs>

nine be granted to the<lb></lb>
contrary thereof shall be Null & void, This Court<lb></lb>
haveing taken into consideracon the aforesaid<lb></lb>
