Whereas it appeareth unto us John Fuller< no role > and
Alexander Ward< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties Justices of the peace
for the County of Middlx (Quorum) residing nearest the parish [..]
Church of the parish of Sr James Clerkenwell in the said County
That Mary Stanton< no role > Single woman was upon the Seventeenth
day of December last past delivered of a Male Bastard Child
within the Said parish of St James Clerkenwell which was
Baptized by the name John< no role > which said Male Bastard Child
did become chargeable to the said parish and is Since dead
And Whereas it appeareth unto us the said Justices by the
Examinacon of the said Mary Stanton< no role > taken upon Oath the Ni [..]
day of November last past and also upon the Informacons of
Anna Taylor< no role > Widow and Mary Barton< no role > taken Severally on Oath
the first day of this instant January before us and other
circumstances that Sd. John Mordaunt< no role > Barronett is the only
and true father of the Said Male Bastard child. Wee therefore
do adjudge him the said Sr . John Mordaunt< no role > [..] of the said
parish of St. James Clerkenwell Barronett to be the only father
of the said Male Bastard child And do hereby order him the said
Sr John Mordaunt< no role > to pay or cause to be paid unto Tobias Gibs< no role > [..]
the present Churchwarden of the said parish of St James
Clerkenwell or to the Overseers of the poor of the same or to
Some or one of them the Sume of five pounds and Eighteen Shillings
forthwith upon Sight hereof which said Sume of five pen [..]
and Eighteen Shillings is already paid and expended by [..]
Churchwarden and Overseers of the poor of the said parish
St James Clerkenwell or some or one of them for and towards
necessary Support and releif of the said Mary Stanton< no role > in the [..]
of her lying in and for the Christening and Buriall of the Said
Male Bastard Child and other incident charges relating there
And Wee do order him the said Sr. John Mordaunt< no role > to give
Sufficient Security to the Churchwardens and Overseers of [..]
poor of the said parish of St. James Clerkenwell for the due
performance of this our order Given under our hands and
Seales this Eighth day of January in the first Year of the
