Whereas by Virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the Twelfth year of the reign<lb></lb>
of his present Majesty King George the second intituled an Act for the more easy<lb></lb>
assessing collecting and Levying of County Rates The <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55602_occ2559">Justices of the peace</rs>

in that<lb></lb>
part of Great Britain called <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55602_geo3158">England</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55602_geo3158" type="placeName" value="England"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55602_geo3158" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
within the respective Limits of their<lb></lb>
Commissions at their General or Quarter Sessions or the greater Part of them<lb></lb>
then and there assembled have full Power and Authority from Time to Time<lb></lb>
to make one General Rate or Assessment for such Sum or Sums of Money as<lb></lb>
the Justices in their discretions should think sufficient to answer all and every<lb></lb>
the Ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act Now for as much as it<lb></lb>
appeareth unto this Court that three fourths of the Money of the last Rate<lb></lb>
made in April Sessions one thousand seven hundred and fifty two being the last<lb></lb>
preceding Rate hath been paid and expended to answer the Ends and purposes<lb></lb>
mentioned in the said Act of Parliament and that it is necessary that a Considerable<lb></lb>
Sum of Money should be raised and a Rate made upon the Towns Parishes and<lb></lb>
Places in the said County for raising of Money to answer the several Ends and<lb></lb>
purposes mentioned in the said Act of Parliament This Court upon<lb></lb>
Consideration of the Premisses is of Opinion and doth accordingly Order that a<lb></lb>
General Rate be made & assessed upon every Town Parish or Place in the said<lb></lb>
County for raising the Sum of Twelve hundred pounds which this Court doth<lb></lb>
think necessary to be raised for the purposes aforesaid And to the Intent the same<lb></lb>
Sum maybe Raised for the purposes aforesaid This Court by Virtue of the said Act<lb></lb>
doth assess upon every Town Parish and place hereinafter mentioned in the respective<lb></lb>
