of them be appointed Auditors to audit the Account<lb></lb>

Ascension Day}</note>
Mr. Church Warden Green then acquainted the <lb></lb>
Vestry that some Complaints had been made concerng.<lb></lb>
the Expence the Parish has been at on Ascension days<lb></lb>
And Mr. Newton observd that it would lessen that<lb></lb>
Expence if no Cakes or Ribons were to be given to any <lb></lb>
Persons whatever, except to the Children belonging to <lb></lb>
this Parish, who go round the Parish Boundaries.<lb></lb>
But this method not being approvd of, Mr. Maynard<lb></lb>
proposed that such Gentlemen as the Church Warden<lb></lb>
should invite to dine should be desired to subscribe <lb></lb>
two Shillings and six pence or five shillings each<lb></lb>
which was done in many other Parishes, and this<lb></lb>
method he thought would be most eligible to reduce<lb></lb>
the Expence, if approved of by the Vestry. He therefore<lb></lb>
moved that an Order made May 4th. 1687 for <lb></lb>
providing a Dinner on Ascension day be discharged.<lb></lb>
But after some Consideration and Debate on the <lb></lb>
Length of time which that Order had stood unrevock'd<lb></lb>
the Motion was dropped without being Seconded.</p>

Property}</note>
Mr. Church Warden Green then reported from the <lb></lb>
Committee appointed to treat and agree with John<lb></lb>
Lord for a new Lease of the Parish House and Land <lb></lb>
at Collier Row that they had come to an Agreemt.<lb></lb>
and that the Lease was to be for Seven Years at the <lb></lb>
former Rent of Ten Pounds a Year Tax free. And <lb></lb>
the said Agreement was read.</p>

Then Mr. Church Warden Green observ'd<lb></lb>
that a new Length of Hose was wanting to each <lb></lb>
