Upon reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles & Porters man of this Hospital for their usual
Gratuitys of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year ending at Xmas last for that their Salary
are but small It is Ordered that the Clerk of these Hospitals do give and pay unto then forty Shillings
a peice to be allowed him in his next account.

for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year ending at Xmas last
for that their Salarys are but small It is Ordered that the Clerk of these Hospitals do give and
pay unto them twenty Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next account.

consider the fees taken by the Steward of Bethlem Hospital and they are desired
to reportandtheir Opinion concerning the same to the next Court.

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this House bearing date the 14th. of December last in
the words followingMr. James Lipscomb< no role > one of the Artsmasters of this Hospital acquainted this
Comittee that his apprentice John Covell< no role > left his Service last Sunday evening and did not return till ten
of the Clock on Monday evening, that when his said Apprentice was before Mr. Treasurer, he said
that he had been at the Sign of the Ship at Radcliffe that his said Master had been at the
said place to enquire after him & found that the said John Covell< no role > had not been there It is the
opinion of this Comittee that the said John Covell< no role > be corrected which Mr. Treasurer is desird
to report to the next CourtIt is Ordered by this Court that the said John Covell< no role > be
corrected in the presence of the Artsmasters and all the apprentices in this Hospital which was
done accordingly
