The Committee Proceeded to View the State of the<lb></lb>
Mens & Womens Prisons and took into Consideration<lb></lb>
in what manner the former might be Enlarged so as<lb></lb>
to Admit of the Prisoners being kept Seperate and<lb></lb>
directed the Surveyor to make an Estimate of such<lb></lb>
Improvements and Alterations And the Committee<lb></lb>
being Informed by the Surveyor that the Girders<lb></lb>
Joists and flooring of the Hall were in a very<lb></lb>
ruinous and dangerous situation in so much as to<lb></lb>
make it necessary to have Props & Shores to support<lb></lb>
the same on every extraordinary meeting of the<lb></lb>
Governors and also that it had been under<lb></lb>
consideration some Years since to remove the<lb></lb>
Prisons to the Scite of two Old Houses on the<lb></lb>
North Side of Tudor Street Abutting South on the<lb></lb>
Great Hall The Committee Ordered the Surveyor<lb></lb>
to make an Estimate of the Expence of new-<lb></lb>
Flooring the Hall & supporting the same on Columns<lb></lb>
And also for rebuilding the Prisons on the<lb></lb>
aforesaid Spot of Ground.</p>
