219. MARY TALBOT proceedingsdefend This name instance is in set 1315. was indicted for feloniously returning from transportation, and being found at large on the 14th of January , without any lawful cause .

I know the prisoner; she was convicted in February sessions, 1788; and sentenced to transportation.

Edward Treadway < no role > , William Norman < no role > , and John Beamish < no role > took the prisoner in High-street, Bloomsbury.

Prisoner. I beg for mercy, having a young child almost starved, which suckled at my breast when I was on board: I had little or no provision.

GUILTY , Death .

(She was humbly recommended to mercy by the Jury.)

Tried by the second Middlesex Jury before Mr. RECORDER.
