Elizabeth Smith , alias Drew proceedingsdefend was indicted for stealing 27 Yards of Stuff, value 30 s. out of the shop of Andrew Bonivier proceedingsvictim , on the 13th of November last. It was sworn by the Prosecutor's Servant, That she saw the Prisoner take it, and put it under her left Arm and carry it away; and calling out for Help, she was taken with it upon her. She did not deny that she had the Stuff, but said she only went to the Shop-door to look on it, and did not intend to carry it away; but that being prov'd to be false, she was found Guilty of Felony.
