John Davis proceedingsdefend , of the Parish of Stepney , was indicted for privately stealing a Silk Handkerchief from the person of John Hamilton proceedingsvictim , on the first of November last. The Prosecutor depos'd, That there being a Crowd in the Church, by reason of the Bishop of London's Confirming there, he lost his Handkerchief, and searching the Prisoner, found that and 5 more in his Breeches; whereupon he was found Guilty to the Value of 10 d.
