, was Indicted for a Misdemeanor, for
uttering false Clipt-Money, he knowing the same so to be
. The Evidence declared that he gave the Prisoner about 7 or 800 l. in such sort of Money; and that he gave him the Money for Guinea's at 30 s. a piece, when they did really go for no more than Five and twenty Shillings and had 30 of them Shillings for every Guinea; and did tell him at the same time that it was such Money as he could not pay away in Trade. The Fact was fully proved against him; the Jury found him
Guilty
of the said Misdemeanor.
