Examination TextSamuel Bishop aged 23 Years the 22nd April next upon his Oath saith that he was never Married bound Apprentice been a yearly hired servant in any one place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a Settlement in his ownright that he is the legitimate issue of Joseph Bishop by Mary his Wife , who was married at Saint Georges Church Hanover Square that his said ffather is a Baker by Trade & lived & rented the House the, of Blue Cross & Whitcomb Street in the Parish of Saint Martin in theffields from Christmas 1788 to Lady day 1792 at the Yearly Rent of Thirty Pounds the said Taxes & had done i to gain a subsequent Settlement to this Examinants Knowledge & belief. Sworn this 20th Day of March 1793 before me John Collick Saml Bishop
