Examination TextElizabeth Payne the aged 31 Years upon her Oath saith that she was never Married that she servant Sixteen Months under a yearly hiring with Mrs Elizabeth Turner No 2 Southampton Street in the Parish of Saint George Bloomsbury in the County of Middlesex at Nine Guineas by the Year Wages diet & lodging quitted the same about Six Years ago since which she hath not been a Yearly hired servant in any place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath further saith that she was on the 12th Day of August 1989 Delivered at the House of Mr Sheldon, Staples Court in Goswell Street in the Parish of Saint Luke Old Street in the County of Middlesex of the Male Bastard Child baptised James . and also that she was on the Seventh Day of The April 1792 delivered at the house of Mr Simpson No 12 Off Alley in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields of a Male Bastard Child baptised William yet living & we come chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that James Beavan who is Coachman to Mrs Snell in Great Russel Street had several Times carnal Knowledge of her Body & did beget of her Body the said Two Bastard Children and that he the said James Beavan is the true & only ffather thereof & no Man else.
