Minutes of the last Committee
Read
Mr. Meadman made an Estimate of the necessary Repairs
of the Schoole House & Alms Houses which came to one Hundred &
forty five Pounds & also an Estimate of the Expence of an Aditionall
Range of Rooms over the Alms Houses which came to £149 making
togeather £294 The old Buildings will contain 80 Bedds & ye.
new Range of Rooms will hold 20 Bedds making togeather 100
Bedds at 2 in each Bedd will hold 200 Poor.
Mr. Heath made an Estimate of the Expence of the
additionall New Building over the Gateway & Beadles House
taking in 36 Feet of the Church Yard Leading from the Beadle
House towards Clare Markett which sd- Building will
containe 4 Rooms which will hold 200 Poor besides an
Appartmt- for a Master & two Matrons an Appartmt- for the
Beadle to has in & a Watch House in the same Manner they
now are & a Vault the whole length of the new Building for ye.
