The Examination of Joyce Montgomery< no role >
and the Order made [..] by the Trustees of
the Holborn Estate upon the taking such
Examination, were next read-and were as
followVizt.

That she is Aged seventy two Years or thereabouts
that she was Married to Joseph her late Husband
at the Parish Church of Saint Clement Danes
that after their intermarriage they Rented and
lived in a House at the Upper End of Wych Street
in this Parish for about ten Years that her said
Husband Died about twenty two Years ago that
after his death she continued the House for twelve
Years or thereabouts and then moved with her son
who took a House in Peter Street Bloomsbury
and lived with him for about four or five Years
there and then Returned to a Lodging in this Parish
from whence she has been put into the Almshouse
by Mr. Hitchon Churchwarden about a fortnight
Ago.-It being suggested to the Board that she had
Rented the House herself in the Parish of Saint
George Bloomsbury and had gamed her settlements
in that Parish by such Renting and therefore
ceased to be a Parishoner of this Parish and ofcourse
not properly Qualified to be put into the Almshouse

It Was Ordered that the Vestry Clerk should
inquire into the facts and report the Result of
such his inquiry together with the several
examinations above taken and entered to the
Vestry to be holden tomorrow Forenoon
